Feel The Heat Miami Heat

Tonight the Miami Heat face up against the ageless wondered Boston Celtics. In a seesaw battle between the the Big 3's this series became one of the best series in the NBA playoffs last yr. Game 2's performance by Rajon Rondo was overshadowed Thursday by LeBron James 45 pts, 15 rebs and 5 assists capped one of the best solo performances of all-time. Being down 3-2 and given little hope LeBron James single handedly took down the Boston Celtics to force a pivotal game 7. I am amped for tonight's match up a and I am riding with Miami to close it out, but all eyes are on LeBron James. Can he have another sensational performance? I doubt he will drop 40+ tonight but look for Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to have a good game to go on to advance in the NBA finals.
Projection Miami 103 -94 LeBron 28, 12, 6

Keys to Victory Miami
-Fast Break points with the aging Celtics crippled with injuries push the ball on the break to wear Bos down
-Chris Bosh needs to play at least 32 mins and crash the boards his athleticism in the post can cause foul trouble for Bos losing Bass or Garnett is essential
-Mike Miller, Mario Chalmers must keep it coming from beyond the arch
-LeBron has to have another stellar game on both the offensive and defensive end
-Udonis Haslem must be the hidden gem in this game. His late game efforts are key in which we saw in a few games this playoffs.
-Strong defense by Shane Battier. His presence caused key turnovers in this series mainly against Brandon Bass.

Keys to Victory Boston
-RONDO must play a hell of a game a similar game 2 performance to win this game.
-Stay out of foul trouble Bass and Pierce are prone to getting into foul trouble these playoffs.
-Consistency from both Ray Allen and Paul Pierce they must be able to assure success in this game.
-Bench with Stiemsma, Dooling and Pietrus must have bring it on the offensive and defensive end. After a quiet game 6 I expect both KD, and and Mikael Pietrus to contribute off the bench and play smart ball.
-Kevin Garnett must be effective on the rebounding end. Garnett one of the stars in the series must crash the boards and help stabilize the Celtics offensive presence by getting offensive rebounding and drawing fouls on the Heats bigs. If Bosh, Haslem or Anthony are in foul trouble Boston must exploit the post to garner a game 7 victory

MLB Another No Hitter

In the past 3 years there have been a countless number of no-hitters thrown in which were a rarity in the 90's. Last night the The Seattle Mariners threw a no-hitter against the LA Dodgers not by 1 but by 6 different pitchers. Starting pitcher Kevin Millwood threw 6 no hit innings before being pulled with a groin injury. Charlie Furbush relieved Millwood and the Mariners used a different pitcher each inning before closing it out with a 1-0 victory on the Dodgers.
******Note Prior to last night night there were 4 no-hitters thrown in MLB history involving three or more pitchers. Last time June 11th, 2003 Houston Astros no hit the NY Yankees with 6 combined pitchers

NHL
LA Kings vs NJ Devils. I love Martin Brodeur and I'd love to see him get his 4th ring but I seriously doubt that the devils come back down 0-3 to win the Cup. I see the Devils winning this game and forcing a game 6 though.

Boxing

There is plenty of buzz about the potential for a Bradley victory.

The dream match up between Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather has been pushed off but tonight Manny faces 28 year old Timothy Bradley an undefeated boxer hailing from Southern Cali. I expect this to be a great fight although they fight during the Celtics and Heat game I'll catch the bout on HBO later this upcoming week. Pac-Man will win the fight and had Bradley his first loss. The fight will go the whole 12

Personal rants

My Tigers stay losing and the Indians and White Sox are winning NO BUENO smh

NFL

Ocho NoNo

The Pats have announced that they are releasing the ever entertaining Chad Ocho Cinco after a dismal yr in New England.  Ocho Cinco had career lows in every statistical category in New England and the 34 yr old is looking to rebound his career. Miami, Oakland, Jacksonville and Tennessee expressed interest in signing Ocho. Favorable destination HOME Miami Dolphins baby.

Interesting Person in sports

R.A. Dickey is not the typical MLB pitcher you see on TV but if you see his youtube clips he comes off as one of the nicest athletes you'll ever meet. He may be on the same level as Giants pitcher Brian Wilson but the 37 year old NY Mets pitcher is one of the most interesting athletes of all sports. This past off-season he almost risked his 4.5 million dollar contract to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in efforts to raise money for charity. And also published a book called  "Wherever I wind up: My quest for truth" It is a good book and I recommend everyone to read the book as he shares his ups and downs with teenage years and his personal struggles dealing with fame and popularity in majors. Good read.
