June 27th, 2012 NBA Draft, MLB and Boxing, Drugs and Sports.... Top 10 craziest Athletes

NBA

The 2012 NBA Draft is 24 hours away and the first pick for the Hornets are set on Anthony Davis. Picks 2-9 have flip flopped over the past 10 days in the wake of Ohio State's Jared Sullinger and the red flag about his bad back which hampered his draft stock and raised questions about his NBA career. Charlotte holds the number 2 pick and there are rumors that the Bobcats could trade the 2 pick in hopes of getting a star player that would serve as a complementary piece to the young Bobcats team. The 3rd pick goes to the Wizard that could really use a offensive scorer that could help John Wall and Jordan Crawford. If available Washington could draft Bradley Beal, or Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. 4. Cleveland Cavaliers. The franchise is over the LeBron era and is looking to rebuild in for the future. With promising young point guard Kyrie Irving and defensive PF Tristan Thompson the Cavs are looking for a upgrade in the SG or PF position. Expect the Cavs to draft IF available Bradley Beal, Thomas Robinson, or Andre Drummond.  The 5th pick for the Sacramento Kings would have to go to Andre Drummond. The Kings have a good front court with DeMarcus Cousins and the defensive Chuck Hayes. The Kings could either make a run for Damian Lilliard the 6-3 combo guard to help move the offensive for Tyreke Evans and give another scoring forefront. Thats my opinion with the top 5 picks for this year's NBA draft

Trades.
Bobcats trades Corey Maggette to Detroit for G Ben Gordon and a future first round pick.

I think the move is good for both teams Charlotte because they get another scorer at SG something they really lacked this past season. Although Gordon hasn't been the same since he left Chicago we can expect a 16 pt outing from him off the bench. Pistons acquire Maggette whose 11 million dollar contract is expiring after the season. Maggette who is a injury prone player can be viewed as a one yr rental for the Pistons can give you 15 off the bench IF healthy.

Rockets trade Chase Budinger to T'Wolves for 1st round pick
Good acquisition by both teams. Rockets who already have 2 picks gains another one with the Budinger trade as they are shaping up there roster to trade for a top 8 pick in hopes of landing a premier player most notably Dwight Howard. The Wolves get Budinger an athletic SF who can spread the court. wolves who are not expected to re-sign Martell Webster would be a great addition to the young T'Wolves squad.

Rockets trade Samuel Dalembert and draft pick to Bucks for Jon Leur, Shawn Livingston and a draft pick

MLB

The AL East is still up and jumping and the Red Sox and Yankees are starting to make runs.....NOOOOOO
I want the Orioles and Blue Jays up there just to see some new faces emerge out the powerhouse division

My Detroit Tigers are 2.5 back of the White Sox. Im not concerned at all seeing the Sox are injury prone and the Indians never cease to regain composure in July... Tigers will advance and win the AL central

Nats are still atop. Bryce Harper is becoming a force out in DC and the strong pitching of Strasburg, Gonzalez and Clippard strengthens Nats fan for a playoff birth but.......... Strasburg's health is an issue... Strasburg who had Tommy John surgery almost 2 yrs ago is a concern about the innings pitch in which Davey Johnson stated he would shut down Strasburg if he exceeds his limit eve through a pennant race. I doubt he does lets give the Nats fan something to cheer about.

Always remember thee original Montreal Expos

CC Sabathia
Sabathia was placed on the 15 day DL with a strained muscle..... Dont worry he is only expected to miss 2 starts

Andy Pettite left todays game with a ankle fracture he is out 6-8 weeks

Sports, Drugs and Entertainment

In the 1980's in height of the crack cocaine epidemic many lives were ravaged especially in the sports world. Crack cocaine plagued hundred of thousands of lives and also impacted several prominent sporting figures in the 1980's. There were several drug controversies as well late baseball commissioner Bowie Kuhn suspended several MLB players for positive drug tests and there was a well documented use of cocaine amongst several Pittsburgh Pirate players. It was famously known as "The Pittsburgh Drug Trials" There were alot of players who were affected remember Tim "Rock" Raines the 7 times all-star and 2 time world series champ had a serious cocaine addiction and even hid the drug in his back pockets during games. Or Dennis "Oil Can" Boyd a former pitcher of the Red Sox recently admitted he was high off cocaine every time he took the mound in 86. Floyd Youmans who was a prized pitcher for the Expos for 1 year and become hooked on crack cocaine and never was able to fully live up to his potential. Dwight Gooden too became a cocaine user and his career derailed and ravaged his personal life. In the NBA it had a major impact too. Len Bias was slated to carry on the success of the Boston Celtics after he was drafted in 1986, died two days after draft night due to a drug overdose. The next draft pick after Bias was C Chris Washburn who had the talent to be a prominent big man in the NBA, he too had a cocaine addiction which ultimately killed his career before it even started. That year a few players from the Phoenix Suns were caught in a cocaine scandal that troubled a few players on that Suns team.  Since then we don't hear many of these stories but this shows how a powerful substance can take us under.

Fun Stuff

These athletes will forever be known for their wild, outrageous I don't give a f*** type behavior. There wee a few that had great careers but they may forever be remembered for there several on the court/field and personal stupidity lol

10. Vernon Maxwell

The former champion with the Rockets had great talent but his behavior and violent incidents have held back Vernon Maxwell from reaching his full potential. Nicknamed "Mad Max" Bad news have followed him from his time from FSU until he retired. He once went in the stands and punched a fan in the face. He cracked his teammate Carl Herrera in the head with a barbell that caused him to have over 35 stitches and went M.I.A. when the Rockets acquired Clyde Drexler in a trade. Over the years Max been arrested and his his tumultuous life seems to conquer him

9. Tonya Harding

Her 1994 attack on Nancy Kerrigan will always overshadow her figure skating career. Since then she has been in American media appearing on VH1 and a countless number of other shows

8. John McEnroe
File:John McEnroe Roland Garros 2012.JPG

3 time Wimbledon winner John McEnroe had a great career accompanied with his child like temper tantrums on the tennis court that made alot of his tennis matches memorable. His bizarre behavior gave this cat the number 8th spot

7. Ryan Leaf
Ryan Leaf's behavior is more entertaining then his career itself. A high prized college recruit and 2nd overall pick in the 97 draft is regarded a huge bust. After series of arrests and outlandish behavior he get awarded a 7th spot LOL

6. Milton Bradley
Former MLB player Milt Bradley was one of the leagues up and coming prospects but his wild behavior caught up with him everywhere he played in Cleveland he was suspended a few times for his run ins with umpires and in San Diego he tore his ACL being restrained by manager for arguing with an umpire smh he just gets number 6 on my list for his corniness on the field lol

5. Bill Romanowski
Bill Romanowski
A gifted LB at one time in his career but his steroid raged behavior raised serious flags about his character. He once beat up his teammate and crushed his eye socket in training camp with Oakland and most memorable incident when he spit it 49ers receiver J.J. Stokes face has earned him a lottery pick in my list LOL
4. Terrell Owens
Since his early career TO has been a headache everywhere he went. His controversy with Jeff Garcia in San Fran.. His problems in Philly with McNabb and Hugh Douglas his character has been hard to bare at times and yet tiring. Although he could be entertaining his attention seeking ways have made him seem more of a nut case than a actual media primadonna and elite player

3. Metta World Peace
Former All-Star and 2004 defensive player of the year Ron Artest aka "Metta" has been overshadowed by his crazy behavior on the court. Suspended more than 12 times throughout his 13 yr career will always be remembered for going into the stands in Auburn Hills and assaulting fans, his flagrant elbow to the head of James Harden and his camera smashing incident at Madison Square will always follow Metta's career. He is a good guy off the court but his ill-mannered behavior will forever overshadow his accomplishments off the court.

2. Mike Tyson
Iron Mike was one of the best fighters in the heavyweight division in the mid to late 80's but his crazy ass behavior has earned Mike Tyson a reputation outside the ring and also in the ring. His 3 yr prison sentence and his bite on Evander Holyfield have marked Tyson's rep as one of the most nuttiest athletes of all time.

1. OJ Simpson
He's one dumb mothaf***** PERIOD*******

Never forget the OJ everybody loved
